Frequently Asked Questions
1. What should I do if a widget preset does not change volume immediately?
Please make sure the app has been installed and opened at least once. Due to iOS system limitations, the widget opens the app entry point and the app performs the actual volume change.
2. Why does the app sometimes need to open before volume changes?
iOS restricts direct system volume control from background surfaces. HushStep uses system-supported behavior where possible, but some actions need the app to be activated before they can be applied.
3. Where are my presets stored?
Your presets are stored locally on your device. HushStep does not require an account and does not upload presets to a server.
4. What does Pro unlock?
Pro unlocks more saved presets and the ability to save screen brightness with a preset. Core volume and brightness controls remain available.
5. How do I restore a purchase?
Open Settings inside the app and tap “Restore Purchases.” Purchases and restore operations are handled by Apple App Store.
