MustSleep Privacy Policy

MustSleep is a bedtime self-restriction app that helps users reduce late-night phone use during scheduled sleep times. We respect your privacy and keep app data on your device whenever possible.
1. Permissions We Use
MustSleep uses Apple Screen Time capabilities, including FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings, to let users choose apps they want to restrict and apply scheduled app blocking.
These permissions are used only for user-initiated self-restriction. MustSleep is not designed to monitor other people.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
MustSleep may store the following information locally on your device:
- Sleep plans, such as plan name, bedtime, wake time, repeat days, and Hard Mode setting
- User-selected restriction settings, such as selected apps or categories
- Sleep records and local usage statistics
- App settings, such as language preference, permission state, and subscription state
This data is used to make the app work and to display your plans, records, and statistics.
3. Data We Do Not Collect or Upload
MustSleep does not upload detailed app usage data.
MustSleep does not upload the list of apps you choose to restrict to our servers.
MustSleep does not sell, share, or rent your personal data.
MustSleep does not use your data for advertising or tracking.
4. Subscriptions and Purchases
MustSleep subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Purchase, renewal, and refund information is handled by Apple according to Apple’s privacy policy.
MustSleep uses StoreKit only to check whether you have an active subscription entitlement. MustSleep does not create or store fake subscription expiration dates locally.
5. Data Storage
MustSleep stores plans, records, and settings primarily on your device. Some runtime state related to Screen Time restrictions may be stored in the App Group container so the main app and extensions can work together.
6. Third-Party Services
The current version of MustSleep does not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party tracking services, or upload detailed app usage data to third parties.
If we add crash reporting, cloud sync, analytics, or other services in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy information as needed.
7. Children’s Privacy
MustSleep does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app’s Screen Time features are intended for user-initiated self-restriction and are not used to monitor others.
8. Your Controls
You can manage MustSleep’s Screen Time permission in iOS Settings. If you disable the permission, scheduled app blocking may not work properly.
You can also delete the app to remove app data stored locally on your device.
